I hope you were able to find some time to relax and enjoy the sunshine this summer. I am excited to have your children back in the building very soon! Family conferences are scheduled for August 30th and 31st. Your scheduled family conference will give you and your child a chance to meet his/her teacher, drop off school supplies, see your child’s classroom, and ask any questions you may have. Directions to sign up for a conference are below. The link to sign up for conferences will go live on Friday, August 20th.
How to sign up for a family conference:
- Go to the Sauk Centre School webpage (www.isd743.org).
- Scroll down to “Latest News.”
- Click on the link titled “Elementary Family Conferences.” This link will take you to Sign Up Genius.
- Find your child’s teacher’s name (each teacher has an individual tab at the top of the screen) and click on that teacher.
- Sign up for a time that works best for you!

Per federal requirements, all students (PreK-12) and staff must wear masks on school busses/vehicles during any school district transportation. If you have not done so already, please contact Jon Fevig (Transportation Director) to let him know your bussing and/or transportation needs for the upcoming school year. Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures:
Pick Up/Drop Off procedures will continue to be the same procedures as during the 2020-2021 school year. To access a video explaining the pick up/drop off procedures, please go to the Sauk Centre website (www.isd743.org), click on the elementary tab, and scroll down to the section titled, “New Parking Procedures @SCES.” Click on the 3 minute video for an explanation of the elementary’s pick up and drop off procedures.
Face coverings are optional and will not be required during the school day or during after school activities. Sauk Centre Public Schools fully supports individuals who choose to wear a mask.
Free breakfast and lunch is available to ALL students during the 2021-2022 school year. Therefore, it is not necessary to put money into your child’s lunch account at this time.
All students will have an opportunity to have milk during milk break at no charge. Therefore, it is not necessary to purchase milk tickets any longer.
Self-screening for symptoms of illness will be required to be done at home. Students who are ill are encouraged to stay home and report symptoms to the school nurse. As prior to Covid, the school policy remains that students must be fever free for 24 hours with no medications prior to returning to school.
