Superintendent's Corner

  • Don Peschel I’m honored to serve the families, students, and staff as Sauk Centre School District’s
superintendent. I started my career in education in 1990 as an Elementary teacher in
Browerville, Minnesota. In the fall of 1991, I returned to Sauk Centre as a 6th grade teacher and
coach. In 2016 I entered into administration, serving as the Dean of Students and Community
Education Director. In 2018 I accepted the superintendent’s position in Brandon-Evansville
School district and remained there until the spring of 2022. I returned home to Sauk Centre in
2022 as the superintendent of schools.

I look forward to continuing the tradition of providing a quality education to all of our students
and families. We have an outstanding staff, school board, and leadership team that will
continue to work towards challenging our students with the goal of achieving educational
excellence. Building authentic relationships with our students and staff is at the cornerstone of
my philosophy. Our country's future lies in the hands of our greatest resource, our students we
    have in our schools.

Once again, I’m honored to be in this position and so grateful to serve the district and
community of Sauk Centre. I embrace the challenge to give back and lead this school which has
provided so much opportunity for myself and my family through the years.
