  • As the tax base in the district increases, would our taxes decrease?

    Posted by:

If the tax base for the entire district increases, holding everything else constant, does not mean that everyone's individual taxes will decrease.  It is dependent on the assessed value of each taxpayer's property value.

  • Will adding a new levy now change anything in the terms of the existing levy?

    Posted by:

No, the School District’s existing levy expires in 2021 and will not change. With the proposed levy, voters are being asked to vote on a six-year $1,033.83/pupil referendum that would begin with taxes payable in 2021 after the existing referendum expires.

  • Where can I vote?

    Posted by:

Because this is a Special Election, there will be one combined polling location where ALL voters will vote. The combined location will be at the following location:

    Sauk Centre City Hall
    320 Oak Street
    Sauk Centre, MN 45378

The reason for one combined polling location is strictly because of financial reasons and the additional cost to the district to set up separate polling sites.
