Sheila Flatau, Secondary Principal
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I realize that we are embarking on a school year like no other, but am confident that we will be Streeter Strong as together we face whatever challenges may be on the horizon. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to make decisions based on local and county data.
Whichever learning model we may be in, each new school year is a fresh start for every student to realize his/her potential. We are honored to be by each student’s side during this deeply significant journey. As always, our mission is to “prepare all students to be responsible, self-directed learners, who respect others, achieve excellence, and contribute to society”. While this is the reason we show up to school every day, we realize we can’t do it alone. Preparing our young people to become adults who contribute positively to society is a team effort. As parents and community members, your role is critical and we look forward to working with you!
Sauk Centre Secondary School is a special place because of you. We value our students above all and dedicate ourselves to ensuring that your educational welfare will be our primary concern. We feel that your school experience should provide you with the opportunity to achieve and excel in various academic areas. We also want your school experience to include an opportunity to develop skills beyond the classroom. When you graduate, we want you to have mastered the skills of setting and achieving goals, working with others, problem-solving, and effective communication. These are some of the skills that will make your journey in life more successful.
We will do all that we can to help each of our students in their pursuit of academic excellence and personal growth. It is our goal that each student leaves our school with a sense of accomplishment and confidence. We want our students to feel they are valued members of our school community. We look forward to a wonderful year of exceeding expectations!
