What is an Athletic Trainer?
Athletic Trainers excel in injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation. They work closely with the athletes providing pre-practice/game preparation, evaluating injuries, referring to area physicians, and communicating with coaches, athletes, parents, and administration. The most rewarding thing for Beth is being able to help athletes return to play following an injury.
Athletic Trainers from Heartland Orthopedic Specialists currently provide school visits to Sauk Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3-5 p.m. They also provide game coverage for the majority of home events.
