Meet the Teachers

Sue Lentsch

Hi – My name is Sue Lentsch.  I have been teaching at Sauk Centre Elementary since 2010.  I absolutely love my job and feel blessed to be here.

I graduated from Crown College and then later returned to school where I obtained my degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University.

During my time here at SCES I have taught Title 1, computer classes and now reside in fourth grade.  My teaching goal is to pass on my love of learning to ALL of my students.

Outside of the classroom I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.  My husband and I spend our summers camping and motorcycling all across the U.S.A.

Sue Polipnick

My name is Sue Polipnick and I am currently a 4th grade teacher.  Fourth grade is a wonderful year of growth, progress, and academic milestones.  Although I have been teaching for over 30 years, I continue to love my job and seem to learn something new everyday.  Teaching brings so much joy into my life.  I enjoy working with students and building relationships with them.  Together we create a classroom community full of hard-working lifelong learners.  It is my privilege to be entrusted with the education of your children and I look forward to many more years of shaping our future.

Emily West

I started teaching at Sauk Centre Elementary School in 2009. I graduated from Bemidji State University and received my master's through Southwest Minnesota State University.  I have taught in Title, 5/6th multi-age, 1st grade, and now 4th grade. I grew up in Sauk Centre, and it is great to come back to this community. The greatest part of teaching is seeing the children's success and growth throughout the year. My primary goal as a teacher is to inspire and motivate students to strive for success with their learning.

Eric Terres

Hi! My name is Eric Terres, and I am excited to be at Sauk Centre Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2015 and earned my master’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2020. I have been teaching in an elementary school since the fall of 2015, including teaching first and fifth grade, and I am excited for this opportunity to teach fourth grade in Sauk Centre. I grew up just down the road and graduated from Melrose High School, so I am thrilled to be back in the area and become part of the Sauk Centre community. I truly enjoy teaching and especially love building relationships with my students and watching them grow throughout the year. My primary teaching goal is to help build lifelong learners who are curious, confident, and excited to learn. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy staying active and competitive through sports. Golf and baseball are two of my favorite hobbies, and I also love spending time with my family. I am looking forward to a great year and all the learning, growth, and memories we will create together!
