Hi, I'm Shelly Engle! I grew up here in Sauk Centre, Minnesota and I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University. I have been teaching since 1994 and teaching kindergarten here in Sauk Centre since1998. I love teaching Kindergarten! My family includes my two children, my daughter Riley and my son Rykin and our cat Maddie. I have two brothers and two sisters and I have 5 nieces and 7 nephews whom I adore! Some of my hobbies are cheering on my kids at all of their sporting events, spending time at the lake with family and laughing with friends. My goal is to have my students believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams! One of my favorite quotes from Nelson Mandela is, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Nicole Dotson and I love teaching the young learners of our future. I have been teaching since 2012, primarily in the early elementary grades. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Human Development from North Dakota State University in 2012 and completed my masters program in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia St. Paul in 2020. I enjoy the curious and joyful nature of our youngest students and aim to carry those qualities over into their school journey as well. Life in kindergarten is quite an adventure! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing outside, reading a good book, watching sporting events, and soaking up as many sweet moments with my four children as I can.

Hello, my name is Tessa Jensen. I have been teaching since 2009. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I grew up in Sauk Centre and am thrilled to be teaching in this community! I am excited to share my enthusiasm for teaching and learning with the students. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family, including my husband and 2 children.
