I grew up in Sauk Centre and am proud to be a Mainstreeter. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead. I started teaching in 2016 and have been at Sauk Centre Elementary School since 2017. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students feel welcome and are motivated to work hard and challenge themselves in their learning. In my spare time I enjoy being with my friends and family, spending time on the lake, going to sporting events and making crafts.

My name is Carol Klaphake, and I have been teaching at SCES since 2011. I am currently teaching math as part of the 5th grade team. I have always loved math and enjoy showing students that math can be fun.Throughout the year, we spend a lot of time working on the basic math operations of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. The students also are introduced to algebra. In my free time I like to play tennis, read, and spend time at the lake with family and friends.

Each year, I am reminded of just how lucky I am to be working with our students, staff, and parents here at Sauk Centre Elementary.  I started in the district in 2004, and have taught both fifth grade and kindergarten.  I have also enjoyed working in many extracurricular areas over the years.  I have a passion for technology and learning and wish to link the two for others to enjoy and learn. When I am away from my teaching role I enjoy spending my time on the lake, in the hunting fields, or on the golf course.

Life as a teacher begins the day that you realize that you are always a LEARNER.

My name is Lisa Schramel. I’ve been teaching at Sauk Centre Elementary since January 1996. I enjoy working with students and helping them understand that learning is a lifelong process. I graduated form St. Cloud State University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. During my tenure in the Sauk Centre District I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. Working here has provided me with many ways to grow professionally including being able to attend national reading and science conventions. I believe that every student can reach their full potential and make a positive contribution to our world. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
