Hello new 6th graders and families! My name is Kirsten Gruber and I teach Social Studies, Science and Health as part of the 6th grade team here at Sauk Centre Elementary.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy gardening, just enjoying the weather, or watching my favorite volleyball team.  I also enjoy reading, playing board games, and learning new things. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a middle school endorsement in Science from St. Cloud State University. I am currently working my master's degree in Education.

I hope you are as excited to begin 6th grade, as I am to teach it. I look forward to meeting, working with, and learning from all of you this year!

Welcome to Sixth Grade!  I am very excited about this school year!  This year I will be teaching sixth-grade math. During this course, the sixth graders will be working on many problem-solving skills that require critical thinking and group work. At the beginning of the school year, we will be reviewing to make sure how caught up the students are with their math skills. The sixth-grade curriculum will include ratios and rates, the division of decimals and fractions, integers, algebra, geometry, and statistics. We will also be focusing on real-world scenarios so students are able to see its connection to math.

I look forward to working with you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Hello! My name is Grace Krippner, and I've been teaching in Sauk Centre since 2021. I previously taught in Alexandria before becoming a Mainstreeter. I have my Bachelor's Degree from MSU-Moorhead, and my Master's Degree from SMU-Twin Cities.

I am excited for a fun year in 6th grade Language Arts! We will work on writing our own pieces, crafting meaningful responses, applying grammar skills, and studying vocabulary. Throughout all of this, we'll form positive relationships, cultivate growth mindsets, and work as team players.

When I'm not spending time in the classroom, I enjoy camping, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with my husband, Brian, our two kiddos, Annie and Henry, and our yellow lab, Gus. I also like to read, cook, and hang out with family and friends.

Thank you for supporting your child's academic and personal growth - I'm looking forward to working alongside you!
