I've been teaching music at Sauk Centre since 2017. I enjoy making music with students in choir, musicals, or in any setting really. I grew up on a farm outside of Fairfax, MN and studied Vocal Music Education at Minnesota State University, Mankato. When I'm not making music with students, I enjoy spending time with my children, being on the lake, riding bikes, and gardening.

I have enjoyed teaching band in Sauk Centre since 1996. I teach all of the bands in grades 6-12 and a music studies class at the senior high level.  Some of my favorite teaching moments occur while working with small groups like jazz bands, solos and ensembles.

I love to attend live performances and I share that love with my students. We travel to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater or The Minnesota Orchestra every fall and our seniors have the option to travel to New York City each spring where we go to as many Broadway performances as possible.
