Sauk Centre School is looking for Summer Recreation Leaders-
Summer Rec Coordinator: Gretchen Christen
Come join our team! Our Summer Rec program starts June 5 - 30 and July 10 - 21 (No summer rec July 3 - 7) Monday-Friday, shift varies.
THE POSITION:
Under close supervision, our summer rec leaders are responsible for the safe and enjoyable participation of our students in all activities. You’ll act as a positive role model and be enthusiastic and supportive of the summer rec coordinator and all staff. Rec Leaders are expected to maintain open lines of communication with the coordinator and staff and work in a cooperative manner with other group leaders in fulfilling roles and duties. MUST BE 15 years of age or older.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, leads and participates in recreational skill development activities that will be provided for you by your coordinator for indoor and outdoor games including but not limited to kick ball, soccer, running, etc. in a summer rec environment.

Provides a safe and enjoyable environment for children; assists them willingly.

Teaches human relations skills such as sharing, good sportsmanship and getting along with others; monitors rules and regulations; arrives on time for work.

Responsible for the physical well-being of children participating in programs. Monitors safety and health and administers first aid for minor injuries when necessary; communicates with parents or guardians to inform them of the children's accomplishments.

Maintains clean and orderly play areas and supply storage areas.

Takes daily attendance of each group.

Supports other summer rec leaders.

Interacts and communicates with staff and parents professionally.
Other duties as assigned. All Rec Leaders should report anything "unusual" or anything out of the ordinary immediately to the supervisor. Sauk Centre School is a drug-free workplace.
Pick-up and return your application to the Community Ed/Activities Office.
All Applications need to be returned by April 14th.

Juniors: If you have not paid for the ACT and signed up for the test, money is due to the 9-12 Office before you can take the ACT. $65.25

7th & 8th-grade baseball: Any 7th/8th-grade boys interested in playing baseball will have their first practice on Thursday, March 30th after school in the Elementary Gym. Please bring gym shoes, hat, and glove. Please report to Mr. Kueflers room right after school.

Drivers Ed Information: If you are signed up for the next Driver's Ed class beginning Monday, April 3, please stop by the Activities/Comm Ed office this week to sign your contract and pick up your manual if you have not yet done so.
