Eighth-grade band is open to all eighth-grade students who play a band instrument.  Skills from sixth and seventh grade are reinforced with new skills introduced. Students who wish to join band in the eighth grade may do so after successfully completing three quarters of private lessons or at the director’s discretion.

Eighth grade band presents four concerts during the school year.  A wide variety of music is presented to expose the performer and listener to different periods and styles.  Required concert attire is blue jeans and a plain white t-shirt.
